Brussels, Feb 26 (UNI/Sputnik) The European Union has decided to prohibit accepting any deposits from Russian
residents in excess of 100,000 euros ($112,000) over the Russian military operation in Ukraine, the legal document said. “It shall be prohibited to accept any deposits from Russian nationals or natural persons residing in Russia, or legal persons, entities or bodies established in Russia, if the total value of deposits of the natural or legal person, entity or body per credit institution exceeds 100 000 EUR,” the document said.

Meanwhile the Social media company Twitter said it is temporarily putting a pause on advertisements in Russia and Ukraine to ensure that public safety information is prioritized on its platform. “We’re temporarily pausing advertisements in Ukraine and Russia to ensure critical public safety information is elevated and ads don’t detract from it,” the company said in a statement on Friday.
