ED Arrests GMADA Town Planner After Summoning Him for Questioning in Jalandhar
Jalandhar: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested a Town Planner of the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) after summoning him for questioning in Jalandhar. According to officials, the GMADA Town Planner, who resides in Mohali, was called to Jalandhar for interrogation in connection with a land-related case. During the questioning, the ED detained him. However, authorities have not yet issued any official statement clarifying the exact reason behind the arrest.
The action comes amid a series of recent raids conducted by the ED across Punjab. On Wednesday, central agency teams carried out searches at multiple locations, including premises linked to businessman Jatinder Sachdeva in Ludhiana’s Green City area. Officials examined financial records, documents, and transactions during the operation.
Earlier, the ED had also conducted raids in Mohali, including at the residence of a former GMADA officer, as part of its ongoing investigation.
The probe is currently underway, and further details are awaited.
