EC seeks voters’ suggestions on rationalization of stations in Kangra

Dharamshala: The Election Commission of India on Monday said that the citizens of district Kangra can submit their objection or advice regarding the rationalization of polling stations by July 13.

District Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner) Nipun Jindal said that as per the instructions of Election Commission of India, 15 Assembly constituencies of district Kangra, six of Nurpur, seven of Indora (Scheduled Caste), eight from Fatehpur, nine from Jawali, 10 from Dehra, 11 from Jaswan Pragpur, 12 from Javalamukhi,
13-Jaisinghpur (Scheduled Caste),
14-Sulah, 15-Nagrota, 16-Kangra,
17-Shahpur, 18-Dharamsala,
19-Palampur and 20-Baijnath (Scheduled Castes) and the lists of polling stations were published in the draft on July 7, 2022 as per the provision of Section 25 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950.
Jindal said the lists of polling stations published in the format from July 7, 2022 to July 13, 2022, during office hours at District Election Office, Kangra, all the electoral registration officers and sub-divisional officers (civilians) of the district and offices of all tehsils and sub-tehsils will be available for free inspection of the general public.
He said that apart from this, the lists of the above polling stations can also be seen on the departmental website of Chief Electoral Officer, Himachal Pradesh, Shimla https:eohimachal.gov.in. (UNI)
