Drug routes: Man arrested under NDPS Act at Baijnath

Dharamshala: One person, a resident of Baijnath was arrested on Monday under Narcotics Drug and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Ravidas Gankheter Chowk, Pandol road, Baijnath falling under Baijnath police station in Kangra district after heroin was seized from his possession, Police said here on Monday.
Kangra District Senior Superintendent of Police Kaushal Sharma told UNI today that under Police Station Baijnath, police recovered 4.54 grams of heroin from the accused’s possession.
SSP said that the accused person was identified as Mahesh Chand Alia Manny, a resident of Gankheter, Baijnath.
A case has been registered against the accused person under section 21-61-85 of NDPS Act at Baijnath police station.
SSP said that police arrested the accused person and the investigation was in progress. (UNI)
