Did Babbar Khalsa Launch a Terror Attack on Ram Navami in Haryana..
Khalistani outfit claims grenade attack on police post; Haryana Police dismisses the claim as false..
Haryana : A major controversy has erupted in Haryana after the Khalistani extremist group Babbar Khalsa claimed responsibility for a supposed terror attack on a police outpost during the Ram Navami celebrations. The group released a message on social media alleging that its members carried out a grenade attack on a police chowki in the state. However, Haryana Police has strongly denied any such incident took place and called it a baseless claim aimed at spreading fear and misinformation.
According to reports, Babbar Khalsa’s social media post went viral late Sunday night, in which they stated that the attack was a retaliation for recent police encounters in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab. The post referenced the killing of alleged Khalistani supporters and warned of further action if their demands were ignored.
As soon as the message surfaced, panic gripped the local communities, especially in areas where Ram Navami processions were being held. Security was heightened across key districts, and police personnel were deployed in large numbers to maintain peace and order. Bomb squads and quick response teams were also alerted, though no explosive materials or damage was reported at any police facility.
The Director General of Police (DGP) of Haryana issued an official statement clarifying that there was no grenade attack or blast at any police station or chowki. He called the viral post a propaganda tactic by anti-national elements trying to disrupt communal harmony and create panic. “We urge the public not to believe in such fake news. The situation across the state is peaceful and under control,” he said.
The police have launched an investigation to trace the origin of the post and determine whether it was issued from within India or abroad. Cybercrime teams are working to track the IP address and any possible links to banned organizations operating from foreign soil.
Experts believe this may be a psychological tactic used by terror outfits to create fear without actually committing any act of violence. Authorities remain on high alert in view of upcoming religious events and are monitoring online activities to prevent the spread of further misinformation.
