Mumbai, April 3: Former India and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper Mahinder Singh Dhoni achieved another milestone as he become the second Indian cricketer to play 350 T20 matches when he took the field in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) here on Sunday. Current India and Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma topped the list having played 372 T20 matches. Former cricketer and Dhoni’s CSK teammate Suresh Raina played 336 T20 matches followed by Dinesh Karthik (329), Virat Kohli (328). CSK is yet to open their winning account in the 2022 IPL as they lost both their matches and are looking to register their first win of the season in their match against PBKS here on Sunday.
Liam Livingstone’s all-round performance with bat and ball, powered Punjab Kings to hand out Chennai Super Kings their third defeat by winning by 50 runs at Brabourne Stadium here on Sunday. Batting first, Livingstone cracked 60 off 32 balls and then bagged two wickets including a very crucial wicket of dangerous Shivam Dube who was batting fluently in the company of “Mister Cool” Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Debutant Vaibhav Arora (2 for 21) was special with the new ball as he swung the ball both ways. Rahul Chahar chipped in with three wickets, conceding just 25 runs in 4 overs. (UNI)
