Delhi’s Special Court dismisses Satyendar Jain’s bail plea in money laundering case
New Delhi: Delhi’s Special Court has dismissed Delhi’s Health Minister Satyendar Jain’s bail plea in money laundering case.
The Enforcement Directorate arrested Jain on May 30. Special Judge Geetanjali Goyal on June 13 sent Jain to 14 days
of judicial custody.
The ED had earlier provisionally attached immovable properties worth Rs 4.81 crore belonging to companies beneficially owned and controlled by Jain on March 31.
Counsel for Jain submitted that Jain is not a flight risk and evidence in his case was mostly documentary which cannot be tampered with. He submitted that Jain was suffering from sleep apnea and so bail may be granted to him on medical grounds.
