CPI(M) former Dy. Mayor in Fray from Shimla

Shimla: Former Deputy Mayor of Shimla Municipal Corporation Tekinder Singh Panwar on Tuesday filled nomination papers for Shimla Assembly Constituency at Shimla DC office here.
Panwar, who was elected Deputy Mayor along with CPI(M) Mayor Sanjay Chauhan in direct Election today filled nomination papers to test his luck for Assembly Election.
Panwar was currently posted by party at central secretariat member. He joined politics from SFI.
He belonged to the Solan District of Himachal Pradesh. He is locked in triangular contests against Harish Janarth of Congress and Sanjay Sood of BJP.
CPI(M) MLA from Theog Rakesh Singha also elected on party ticket from Shimla in 1993. (UNI)
