New Delhi, April 14: Delhi logged in a single-day rise of 1,094 fresh cases of Covid-19, while two people succumbed to viral illness in the past 24 hours, said the health bulletin released by the Delhi Government on Saturday. The new cases accounted for 4.82 per cent of the total samples tested in the past 24 hours. The city conducted 22,714 tests in the last 24 hours, whereas 640 previous patients recuperated from the illness in the past 24 hours. The government data showed the bed occupancy rising to 101, only one per cent of the total 10,500 beds in Coronavirus-dedicated hospitals. Delhi and the adjoining areas in neighboring states of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana have witnessed a rise in daily Covid-19 cases over the last few days. The national capital has seen an uptick in cases in the last few days, after recording a steady decline for over two months. However, the Delhi Government has stated that it is keeping a watchful eye on the situation and maintained that there was no need to panic. (UNI)
