Congress Flags 89 Lakh Complaints During SIR, All Rejected: Pawan Khera
Leader demands electoral exercise be redone…..
Patna : Senior Congress leader Pawan Khera claimed on Sunday that the party submitted a staggering 89 lakh complaints regarding electoral irregularities in Bihar during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter rolls, but all were rejected by the Election Commission (EC).
Speaking at a press conference, Khera alleged that the rejections cast doubt on the EC’s intentions and demanded that the entire SIR exercise be conducted again.
“The EC keeps getting news planted that no complaints are coming from political parties. In reality, Congress submitted 89 lakh complaints through Booth Level Agents (BLAs), but all were turned down,” Khera said.
He added that the poll body informed BLAs that complaints could only be filed by individuals, not political parties.
Khera’s statement raises questions about transparency and voter integrity in the ongoing revision process in Bihar.
