Congress demands martyrs status to the farmers who died during agitation

Patna, Nov 20 (UNI) Bihar Pradesh Congress committee on Saturday demanded from Prime Minister Narendra Modi martyrs status for the farmers who died during the agitation against the farm laws and asked the government to scrap it immediately by convening a special session of the Parliament.
BPCC President and MLC Madan Mohan Jha said here on Saturday that Kisan Satyagraha march was organiezd in 36 districts under the leadership of in charge of the party political affairs of Bihar Bhakta Charan Das.
Mr Jha said that the government should withdraw the cases lodged against the agitating farmers and the leaders and those who termed the educating farmers as terrorists and khalistanis should publicly apologize for their comments. He said that the common people have lost confidence on the announcements made by the prime ministers and because of this mistrust the farmers have still not returned to their home.
