CM Sukhvinder Sukhu, ministers to attend gram sabhas in 12 Himachal districts tomorrow
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will kick-start the ‘Sarkar Gaon ke Dwar’ programme in his Nadaun Assembly constituency on January 17.
Under this three-phase outreach programme, the Chief Minister and his ministers will participate in one gram sabha each in all 12 districts. “At the gram sabhas, the Chief Minister and his fellow ministers will hear and resolve the problems of local people,” said Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi while addressing mediapersons here today.
He said that in the next phase of the programme, the Chief Minister, all ministers and the Chief Parliamentary Secretaries would cover all 68 Assembly constituencies of the state within a week after January 17. “In the third phase, MLAs and other representative of the public will visit all Assembly constituencies to hear their problems,” he added.
Negi said, “Besides hearing the problems of people, the government intends to apprise them about its achievements in its one-year rule. We will also expose the BJP, both at the Centre and in the state, for not standing with the Himachal Government at the time of the rain disaster. “The Centre did not offer any help to the state and the BJP also did not stand with the government in protecting the interests of people.”
