CM Mann: “Amit Shah called Rs 1,600 ‘Token Money’, promised more aid for Punjab”
New Delhi : Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has assured him of greater central assistance for flood relief in Punjab. During their 25-minute meeting in Delhi, Shah described the earlier grant of Rs. 1,600 crore as merely “token money”, promising that more funds will follow. Addressing the media after the meeting, CM Mann said he presented a detailed account of Punjab’s flood devastation, to which the Home Minister responded positively and pledged all possible support from the Centre.
