Chirag denies Uncle Paras’ claim that LJP (Ram Vilas) is ‘not technically part of NDA’.
Chirag completely debunks Uncle Paras’ assertion that LJP (Ram Vilas) is “not technically part of NDA.” The statement that prompted Chirag to respond was made a day after Chirag’s uncle, who is also the chief of the Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party, Pashupati Kumar Paras, stated that the LJP (Ram Vilas) was not technically a part of the NDA.
PATNA: Chirag Paswan, the leader of the LJP (Ram Vilas), claimed on Sunday that his party was not only a member of the NDA but also had a plan in place with the BJP for the assembly and Lok Sabha elections, which are due for 2024 and 2025, respectively.
Chirag’s response came a day after his uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras, the leader of the Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP), asserted that the LJP (Ram Vilas) was not officially a member of the NDA despite the party attended a recent meeting of the alliance in New Delhi. In addition, Paras said that his party and himself were among the NDA’s more experienced partners.
Chirag informed the media that a formal announcement about his party joining the NDA had already been made on his first trip to Bihar after joining the NDA. He said that before joining the NDA, he had met with JP Nadda, the president of the BJP, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, with whom he had developed a strategy for the 2024 Lok Sabha election and the 2025 state assembly election.
In response to a question on union minister Paras running in the Hajipur Lok Sabha seat, Chirag stated, “Decisions should be made in accordance with coalition dharma when you are part of an alliance. When the members of an alliance stir up conflict, it is improper.
“I had already stated that Paras would decide on the alliance when the election drew near. Nityanand Rai, the Union Minister of State for Housing, and I met in the interim. I joined the NDA because my worries were taken seriously,” he stated.
He claimed that for the previous two to two and a half years, he had refrained from criticising his uncle and would continue to do so. “I have no family or personal disputes. I am not impacted by any of these problems,” he said.
He claimed that even after leaving the NDA ahead of the Bihar assembly elections in 2020, his party didn’t join any other alliance. In addition, he asserted that the NDA would win 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar due to voter resentment of chief minister Nitish Kumar.
