Chhattisgarh state chopper crashes at Vivekananda Airport, 2 pilots dead
Raipur: A Chhattisgarh Government helicopter crashed and burst into flames late Thursday while attempting a landing at the state capital’s Swami Vivekananda Airport resulting in the death of both pilots. The accident, whose cause is hitherto unclear, occurred at approximately 2145 hrs. Senior officers rushed to the scene, which was near the State Hanger therefore did not affect commercial flights. The deceased were identified only by their surnames as captains Panda and Shrivastav. The incident was confirmed by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel himself on social media and he also expressed grief over the loss of life. (UNI)
