Central University of Himachal entrusted to implement NEP in Zone 3

Dharamshala: December 1, (UNI- Ashok Raina) An online meeting was organized by the Union Education Ministry on Wednesday for the successful implementation of the National Education Policy in the country as the country has been divided into three zones and nine sub zones.
This meeting was attended by the Secretaries of all states and vice chancellors of universities attended this meeting. Pooja Awasthi PRO Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP) told UNI that on behalf of the Central Government, the Central University, Himachal Pradesh has been entrusted with the responsibility of leading the successful implementation of National Education Policy 2020 in the states included under Zone 3.
She under the National Education Policy 2020, the country has been divided into three zones and nine sub zones by the central government.
Three regions have been included in each zone and four states and union territories have been included in the region. Guwahati (Assam) has been included in the first zone, Hyderabad (Telangana) in the second zone, Gandhinagar (Gujarat) in the third zone. The three regions included in Zone 1 which include Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur and Meghalaya in the first region, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan in the second region. Karnataka, Kerala, Pondicherry, Lakshyadeep have been kept in the third region.
She said that Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Andaman and Nicobar, Tamil Nadu have been kept in first zone, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, West Bengal in second zone, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura have been kept in the third zone. Goa, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Dadra and Nagar Haveli – Daman and Diu have been kept in Region 1 of the third zone. Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh and Delhi have been included in Region 2, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh have been included in Region III. In this, the states included in Zone 3 were led by Vice Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh Central University, Prof. Sat Prakash Bansal. In this regard, Vice Chancellor CUHP has been entrusted with the leadership of the implementation of National Education Policy 2020 in the states of Region 3 under the Central University, Himachal Pradesh Zone 3.
He said that Regional group meetings will be organized on regular basis. This will be followed by regional level meetings with the concerned regions to finalize the zonal report.
Finally, its report will be submitted to the central government. Work is already going on in the Central University for the successful implementation of the National Education Policy. Vice chancellor CUHP said that 50 percent has been implemented.
