The offence was registered in 2002, the chargesheet was filed in 2005 and the trial continued till today. The court, however, acquitted five other accused in the case.

The 4000-page chargesheet, which was filed in the court of Special NIA Judge A K Lahoti, has 16 protected witnesses.
