Moscow, March 17: Boyko Borisov, the former prime minister of Bulgaria and the leader of the GERB party, has been detained during a major police operation, the Bulgarian National Radio reported on Thursday, citing the Interior Ministry. Several other members of the former ruling GERB party have also been detained. According to the broadcaster, the police operation is linked to reports that European prosecutors are investigating more than 120 cases of abuse of European funds in Bulgaria. (UNI)
