Budget ’22 is ‘Gazette of Glorious Journey of Aatmanirbhar Bharat’: Naqvi

Kanpur, Feb 6 (UNI) Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Saturday termed the Union Budget 2021-22 the ‘Gazette of Glorious Journey of Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ saying it will ensure ‘Development with Dignity’ of all sections of society.
Interacting on the Union Budget and addressing a press conference on the Budget at Kanpur (UP), Mr Naqvi said this Budget is full of commitment to socio-economic-educational empowerment and health and well-being of all needy sections.
This Budget of the Modi government will bring positive and constructive changes in investment, industries and infrastructure development in the country.
It will also write a new glorious chapter of all round development in the country by removing all the challenges of the Corona pandemic, the Minister said.
He said the Budget fulfils expectations and aspirations of all sections—poor, farmers, youths, senior
citizen, women, labourers, small traders.
Mr Naqvi said special attention has been given to infrastructure development in the Budget 2021-22.
He said the Budget will bring revolutionary reforms in health infrastructure, MSME, education and research which will generate ample employment opportunities.
Mr Naqvi said the Modi Government is committed to welfare of the farmers.
He said the Modi Government has ensured MSP at minimum 1.5 times the cost of production across all commodities.
‘While Rs 75,100 crore have been given as MSP for wheat procurement in 2020-21, a total of Rs 1,72,700 crore have been given as MSP for rice procurement. 1,000 more Mandis will be integrated with e-NAM to bring transparency and competitiveness,’ he said.
Mr Naqvi said Rs 2,23,846 crore have been allocated for comprehensive reforms in health sector. He said the Budget for health sector has been significantly increased in comparison to the last year’s health sector budget which was Rs 94,452 crore.
‘A total of Rs 35,000 crore have been given for Corona vaccine. Two ‘Made in India’ Corona vaccine

have ensured health and well-being of the people of India. India is also helping several other countries with providing Corona vaccines to them. ‘PM Aatmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana’ has been launched with an allocation of Rs 64,180 crore,’ Mr Naqvi said.
Mr Naqvi also discussed the Budget with intellectuals, businessmen, traders and entrepreneurs.
