Dharamsala: Voters will have to bring photo identity cards with them to cast their votes for the assembly elections on November 12. Apart from the voter card, any one of the 12 other documents as prescribed by the Election Commission can be produced at the time of voting as an identity card. District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Kangra Dr. Nipun Jindal said that such voters who are not able to present their voter photo identity card, they will have to present any one of the 12 alternative photo identity documents to establish their identity for voting. He requested the people that they must exercise their vote in this Mahakumbh of democracy.
Dr. Nipun Jindal said that voters can vote on November 12 with photo Voter ID card or Indian Passport, Driving License, Service Identity Card (Central, State, Public Sector Undertaking and Public Limited Companies), Passbook (issued by Bank / Post Office with photo) ), PAN Card, Health Insurance Smart Card (issued under the scheme of Ministry of Labor), Smart Card issued under RGI Shara, NPR, MGNREGA Job Card, Pension Document (with photo), Government Identity Card (MP, MLA and Legislative Council members) Aadhar Card or Unique Disability ID Card issued by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment should bring any one document with you.
