Brinda Karat: ED is a weapon that brings other party leaders closer to PM Modi

Sangli, Maharashtra: “Enforcement Directorate (ED), CBI, IT are not weapons against corruption but ED is a weapon that brings other opposition party leaders closer to prime minister Narendra Modi”, said senior Communist Party of India senior leader and former Rajya Sabha MP Brinda Karat.
In a press conference late this evening at Vita of this district after award distribution function organized by Krantusinh Nana Patil Lokvidhyapeeth, Ms. Karat said that Mr Modi and home minister Amit Shah had a ‘washing powder’ from which all corrupt persons could become clean. Modi government was misusing central Institutions to grow their party (Bhartiya Janata party) and they only using these Institutions (ED, CBI, IT) for to strengthen Modi government with disturbing opposition.
Ms Karat said that ED filed criminal cases on total 3,700 persons so far but only 23 persons were found to be guilty. Mr. Modi and Mr. Shah wanted to show if someone was in opponent then he was corrupt but if he entered in Bhartiya Janata party (BJP) then he was clean and holy while other side union finance minister Nirmala Sitaraman was telling that there was no inflation in the country, Ms Karat criticized.
