BJP’s Chugh flays attack on BJP cadres at meet in Rajpura
Chandigarh, Jul 11 (UNI) BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh on Sunday condemned the attack on the BJP workers at a meeting in Rajpura and said it was daylight murder of democracy in Punjab.
In a statement, Chugh said BJP’s political rivals, be it the Congress, AAP, Akalis or CPI, under the garb of farmers have been throttling the voice of the BJP in Punjab.
He lambasted the Amarinder Singh government for allowing such elements a free run in the state. “These goonda elements in the name of farmers have held the state to ransom and have plotted against the BJP,” he said.
The BJP leader demanded Chief Minister Amarinder Singh to give strict directions to the police to throw such elements behind the bars.
Chugh said the BJP was following Constitutional and democratic norms and it’s reprehensible that anti- democratic forces were having a field day.
