BJP Demands Independent Probe into Ambedkar Statue Vandalism

Chandigarh : A delegation of senior BJP leaders met Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria in Chandigarh, demanding an independent probe into the vandalism of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar’s statue and the attempted burning of a stone sculpture of the Constitution in Amritsar.
The BJP alleged that the incident was part of a larger conspiracy to incite unrest in Punjab. They questioned how such an act could occur just 100 meters from a police station and accused the ruling AAP government of possible involvement.

Calling for an impartial investigation by an agency not controlled by the state, BJP leaders urged strict action against those responsible.
