Birds drop dead in Tharpu; Sample collected by AH & VS for testing

Gangtok, May 21 (UNI) Many birds have been reported to drop dead here in Rhenock East Sikkim due to a vector borne disease, State Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services authorities have found.
According to Dr Sunita Joshi, A H & VS the seasonal vector borne disease has been happening annually among
Birds. A report on this has been submitted to higher authorities.
This has been followed by colourful flying birds dropping dead in Tharpu West Sikkim since yesterday. AH & VS authorities have ordered collection of samples to find out the cause. The final outcome is awaited.
The samples would be tested in diagnostic laboratory in the state.
