Bhagwant Mann moves adjournment motion in Lok Sabha again
AAP leader seeks repeal of farm laws
New Delhi, Jul 22 (UNI) The issue of farmers’ agitation against three agricultural legislations was raised again during the ongoing Monsoon Session on Thursday by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab president and Member of Parliament Bhagwant Mann.
For the third consecutive day on Thursday, Mr Mann sought an adjournment to the listed business of the Lok Sabha to discuss the matter related to the farm laws.
“Parliament was adjourned for two days and we have given this message that we do not come to raise commotion; but the issue of the farmers should be on priority,” said.
“It is my duty and responsibility to take up the issue of the farmers on priority. Sangrur, from where I am elected as a MP, largely produces paddy and wheat; which means that majority of the farmers belong to this district. They have elected me so that I can take up their issues and convey their voice and problems to the ears of the government,” Mr Mann added.
