Badals have golden chance to correct past mistakes : Balwant Ramuwalia
Chandigarh, Nov 27 (UNI) Lok Bhalai Party chief and former union minister Balwant Singh Ramuwalia has appealed to both the Badals specially former Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal to appoint Bibi Kiranjot Kaur belonging to the Panthic family as the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Commitee (SGPC) President this time.
Mr Ramuwalia said Sikhs from Pakistan are constantly ignored by saying the word “Bhapa” while Master Tara Singh, Mr Hukam Singh, Mr Ajit Singh Sarhaddi have done great historical works for Sikhism.
Panja Sahib residents Karam Singh and Partap Singh were arrested during the Guru Ka Bagh Morcha and wounded by the British baton charge to be locked up in Hasan Abdal City Jail. But this section is being ignored every time due to the service of Sikh politics and the Shiromani Committee.
He requested that in recognition of Master Tara Singh’s lifelong sacrifice and Bibi Kiranjot Kaur’s steadfast faith and her educational ability for Sikhism, she should be made the SGPC President.
Mr Ramuwalia said this time the Badal family had a golden opportunity to forgive the mistakes of the past which should not be missed. He said in the total 100 years history of SGPC till date 64 years of share has been with the Badal family. Therefore the Badal family should also thank Akal Purakh for this.
