Azam Khan, wife made accused in another big fraud case

Sadar seat Mohammad Azam Khan seem not to be ending soon, as he and his wife Tazeen Fatima have been made an accused in another case, which was lodged in 2020 and serious sections have been imposed against him. Superintendent of Police AK Shukla said that Azam committed a largescale fraud to get the recognition of Rampur Public School built on the land of his orphanage. “The school has been constructed on a green belt,” he said. In-charge of Sadar Police station said that to get the recognition of the school, a forged no-objection certificate (NOC) of Construction and Design Services of Jal Nigam was prepared. “The Superintending Engineer of C&DS has informed that such an NOC was never issued and his signature has been forged,” he said. He said that Azam and his wife have been included in the case lodged in 2020. Now, the SP leader and his wife will be required to get bail from the court. Azam has remained in jail for the last 26 months, while his wife Tazeen Fatima is out on bail. Azam has got bail in all previous cases, except one. A clerk of the Basic Education department is already accused in the case and has been suspended. (UNI)
