Ayodhya to have Lata Mangeshkar Chowk today
Ayodhya: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy, will inaugurate a crossing developed in the memory of ‘Nightingale of India’ Lata Mangeshkar on Wednesday.
The district administration while confirming the official program of CM Yogi said that Union Minister Reddy along with other distinguished guests will attend the program. Yogi will leave Lucknow on Wednesday morning and reach Ram Katha Park at 10.30 am.
From there he will proceed directly toward the venue and reach there at 10.50 where he will inaugurate the crossing developed in the memory of Lata Mangeshkar. After this he will attend a cultural program at Ram Katha Park and will inspect an exhibition based on the life of Mangeshkar.
Official sources said that a 40 feet high Veena weighing 14 tons has been installed at the ‘Lata Mangeshkar Chowk’. As per the plan bhajans sung by Mangeshkar will be played and will greet the devotees visiting the city of Lord Ram.
It may be noted that CM Yogi announced to develop a crossing in the memory of the legendary singer after her demise during the campaigning for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election in a rally addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
After this the CM will meet the saints at Ram Katha Park at 12 noon and will later hold a meeting with the official to review the preparations for Deepotsava being organized every year on the occasion of Deepawali. (UNI)
