Atal Bhujbal Yojana launched in Nashik
Nashik, Feb 13 (UNI) As water security plans of the village need to be prepared with the participation of the people under the Atal Bhujal Yojana, the water literacy program should be undertaken on a large scale with the help of all the agencies. Also, the Atal Bhujal Yojana should be implemented effectively through public participation, appealed the Director of Ground Water Survey and Development Agency, Dr. Mallinath Kalashetti .
Dr Kalashetti was speaking on the occasion of inauguration of three days capacity building training for district level officers under Atal Bhujal Yojana at Mitra training institute at Nashik Road. Director of Mitra Training Institute Devendra Landage, Director of Water Literacy Center at Yashada Pune Anand Pusavale, Senior Geologist Dr. Chandrakant Bhoyar, Jeevan Bedwal, former CEO and Pani Foundation guide Namdev Nanavare were present.
The centrally sponsored Atal Bhujal Yojana will be implemented in 1,443 villages in 38 talukas in 13 districts of the state for the next four years. For this, water safety plans should be prepared with the help of various organizations, women’s self-help groups, National Service Scheme, Nehru Youth Center, water literacy center’s water workers and with the participation of the people, said Director Mr. Kalshetti .
At this time Shri. Pusavale informed how the water heroes, water warriors, water lovers, envoys, water workers and water workers appointed by the Water Literacy Center can participate in the Atal Bhujal Yojana. He also provided guidance on water literacy and participation of government agencies.
Pani Foundation Guide Shri. Nanavare gave guidance on how well the manpower at the village level and the scheme can be converged. He also presented the work done by Pani Foundation.
