Armenia agrees for top-level summit with Azerbaijan in Brussels

Yerevan, Nov 20 (UNI/Sputnik) Armenia confirms its participation in the Brussels-hosted summit with Azerbaijan at the level of the heads of state, the Armenian foreign ministry told Sputnik on Saturday.
Azerbaijan confirmed its participation earlier in the day.
“The Armenian side is ready to meet,” foreign ministry spokesman Vahan Hunanyan said.

On Friday, European Council President Charles Michel suggested to hold a meeting between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Brussels in December, following the bloodiest escalation of conflict between the two South Caucasian neighbors since the 2020 hostilities this past week.
