AP: Police honours people for serving road accident victims in East Godavari

Kakinada, Nov 21(UNI) East Godavari SP Ravindranath Babu on Sunday assured the family members of the victims of road accidents that the police department would always extend necessary assistance to them in tiding over the calamity.
Interacting with the family members of those died or injured in the road accidents during this year in the district, at a meeting held at the district police office here on Sunday he said the third Sunday of November every year was being observed as the World day of remembrance.
He said the aim in observing the event was to create awareness among the people on the tragic effects of road accidents and the need for taking road safety precautions besides giving a moral support to the family members of the accident victims.
The SP honoured the police personnel, officials, doctors and others sections of the people who rendered service to the road accident victims.
The SP has honoured them with shawls in recognition of theirs service to the road accident victims. The list of people honoured include home guards –Kiran kumar, Achyutharao and TNVSR Krishna drivers Highway mobiles ,three doctors – Dr Gopinath, Dr Sudhir , Dr B Rambabu and Motor vehicle inspector Srinivas.
The SP also honoured those who helped in taking the accident victims to the nearest hospital for medical aid which included two auto drivers – D Suryaprakasarao, Ch Koteswerarao and two RTC drivers GKD Ramesh and JVVK Sai. Additional SP administration wing Karanam Kumar, Special branch DSP M Ambika Prasad, Kakinada SDPO Bhimarao, Traffic DSP P. Muralikrishna Reddy, IT Core Inspector Peddireddi Ramachandrarao, DTRB Inspector Nageswera Nayak DCRB Inspector Lakshmanarao were among those attended the event.
Similar functions were also held in all the police sub divisions in the district to mark the observance of World Remembrance day.
