Says no transfers until online policy is implemented; nodal officers to undergo training tomorrow
Haryana : Home and Health Minister Anil Vij has imposed a temporary halt on transfers in three key government departments. The decision comes ahead of the implementation of a new online transfer policy aimed at ensuring transparency and fairness in the process.
Vij stated that no transfers will be permitted in the departments of Home, Health, and Technical Education until the online transfer system is fully operational. This move is intended to prevent arbitrary or politically influenced postings during the transitional phase.
Addressing the media, Anil Vij emphasized that the government is committed to bringing in a transparent and data-driven transfer mechanism. He mentioned that all decisions related to staff postings will now be based on an automated and merit-based framework.
To facilitate the rollout of the new system, training for nodal officers from the respective departments has been scheduled for tomorrow. These officers will be responsible for managing the transfer portal, ensuring accurate data entry, and assisting staff in understanding the new process.
The minister also warned that any attempts to bypass the order or manipulate transfers through unofficial channels will be dealt with strictly. The new policy, once implemented, will cover all categories of employees in the departments and is expected to reduce favoritism and bureaucratic delays.
Vij’s announcement has been welcomed by many employees who often face uncertainty and delays during the manual transfer cycles. The online system will likely include parameters such as service tenure, preference locations, health conditions, and family status while allocating postings.
This initiative is part of Haryana government’s broader digital governance reforms. By digitizing transfer processes, the administration aims to build greater accountability and efficiency in its functioning. The exact date for the launch of the online portal has not been announced yet, but officials confirmed that it will be activated soon after the training is completed and systems are tested.
