Akhilesh’s statement against UP govt was in frustration: Swantra Deo Singh

Lucknow, Jul 10 (UNI) Terming the statement given by the Samajwadi Party chief regarding employment and development in the state as ridiculous, Uttar Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Swatantra Dev Singh said here on Sunday that Akhilesh Yadav is frustrated and can see defeat staring at his face so he is making irrelevant statements.
“Samajwadi Party does not want to accept the truth otherwise it would have congratulated the Yogi government for connecting the youth with jobs and self-employment through a transparent system. Being in the opposition does not mean that one should mislead the public by telling lies,” he said.
Singh said construction of four expressways, construction of defence corridor, 6 new AIIMS, new medical colleges are proof of the Yogi government’s commitment towards development.
“In the last four and a half years, the Yogi government has run hundreds of welfare schemes like Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana, Kanya Sumangala Yojana for girl child, Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana for the poor, Chief Minister Awas Yojana etc,” he said and added that benefits of all the schemes have reached all sections of the society.
BJP party state President said that as far as Panchayat elections are concerned, muscle power and money power were used during SP government when BDC members and candidates were kidnapped whereas in the BJP regime the elections are held in a transparent manner.
“Instead of respecting the mandate, the Samajwadi Party Chief is furious over his defeat and that is why he is spreading canard,” Singh said.
