Akali big-wigs Prakash, Badal Sukhbir file nominations

Former CM Amarinder also files from his traditional Patiala Urban seat

Chandigarh, Jan 31 (UNI) Former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal filled nomination papers on Monday from Lambi and Jalalabad constituencies respectively for upcoming assembly elections.

Former Chief Minister and founder of Punjab Lok Congress (PLC) Captain Amarinder Singh also  filed nomination papers from Patiala assembly constituency. The former Congress leader filed his nomination papers from the Patiala urban constituency for the February 20 Punjab elections. His wife had also contested the 2019 general elections from Patiala parliamentary constituency on a Congress’ ticket. “Patialvis are our family and have always stood by us,” Amarinder Singh had tweeted then.
