AIIMS server suffers cyber-attack, patients face unprecedented hardships
Case filed in AIIMS Delhi cyber-attack issue,
New Delhi: AIIMS server has been non-functional for the last three days, causing unprecedented hardships in getting appointments for treatment. Most of the departments are put on manual mode of operations.
Delhi Police on Thursday registered a case on the basis of a complaint from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) about a cyber-attack on its server. Now the hospital services are running in manual mode, police said.
According to police, an FIR under section 385 IPC, 66/66F IT Act has been filed by the Special Cell of Delhi Police, IFSO unit and investigation is being done.
Earlier in the day, a complaint regarding cyber-attack was lodged by the Additional Security Official AIIMS Delhi, on this basis a case has been registered.
Various government agencies are investigating the incident and supporting AIIMS in bringing back the digital patient care services. Online services are hopefully to restore the accepted activities soon.
Meanwhile all emergency and routine patient care services and lab services are being managed manually.
