Kabul, Sep 5 (UNI) As fighting continues to rage in Panjshir, the Resistance forces have alleged that Pakistan’s spy agency chief Lt Gen Faiz Hameed was in Kabul primarily to oversee the Taliban’s war against the holdout Afghanistan province and that the ISI was actively supporting the Taliban with drone-fired rockets and drone eyes in the sky.
Ahmad Massoud, the chief of the Resistance forces in the northeastern province of Panjshir, asked what the chief of Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) was doing in Kabul, and that his presence was a clear sign of Pakistan’s intervention in Afghan affairs.
“Isn’t this a clear sign of Pakistan’s intervention in Afghanistan? Why is the head of ISI in Kabul? What is he doing there? We cannot accept foreign puppets to rule over us at any cost,” he tweeted on Sunday.
He appealed to Afghans to “open their eyes” and realise that the majority of Taliban “are not Afghans” and “most are foreigners”.
“I appeal to the entire Afghan nation to please open your eyes. The majority of Taliban leaders are not Afghans. Most of them are foreigners. Sadly, these foreigners will now rule the entire Afghan nation.”
“Failure only happens when you give up the fight for your rights and get tired.
“Our people will never get tired of trusting in God and will move forward to build a prosperous, free and independent Afghanistan.
“Soon, as my workload decreases, I will personally report the work to our honorable people,” he posted.
“We have reliable sources claiming that the head of the ISI – intelligence services of Pakistan – has taken over the management of Taliban for the Panjshir war,” said a pro-Massoud handle.
One of the pro-Resistance twitter handles said that Taliban are fighting against the Resistance forces using modern drones with bombs. “It is obvious the drones arrived with the Pakistan special forces,” it said.
Another tweet said that hundreds of Pakistani special forces dressed as Taliban special unit Badri 313, along with Islamic State and 20,000 Punjabis, besides the Al Qaeda were fighting against the Resistance forces in Panjshir.
“Panjshir is besieged by Al-Qaeda, ISIS and 20.000 Punjabi and Taliban, 570 Pakistan special forces dressed as Taliban Badri 313, they are all fighting against us in 6 directions of the province,” said the tweet.
“Intense and uncompromising war is going in Paryan district, other districts are protected and under control of Ahmad Massoud forces. The Taliban are using modern drones with bombs, it is obvious that drones arrived today with Pakistan special forces.”
“They gathered all Talibs from 33 provinces of Khorasan/Afghanistan.”
One pro-Resistance handle chided the other provinces for watching the war quietly and not supporting Panjshir.
“Provinces that are watching and waiting the outcome of the war, whether Panjshir will fall or survive! Shame on you! We will remember it. Panjshiris will die, but never accept Pakistan and worldwide terrorists occupation. We will rise from the ashes!”
A young Panjshir fighter in a video put up on Twitter said that they will fight to the end
“We will never give up fighting for God, freedom and justice. The struggle, whether like Panjshir, which has stood firm so far, or like our zealous Herati sisters, who bravely raised their cries for justice, shows that the people have not given up their rightful demands and are fighting rightly.
“They do not get tired and do not fear any threats.”
Col Rahman Rahmani, an Afghan pilot, tweeted about the hardships that Panjshir residents are facing. The Taliban have reportedly cut off electricity, stopped medicines from reaching, and also cut off food supplies to the mountainous district.
“75% of youth who take arms in Panjshir are college graduates, 30% have Masters’ degree, 15% women are participating in the fight. We know what we are fighting for. We fight for the future of Afghanistan and the world, where no terrorists exist. Please support us,” he tweeted with the hashtag “StandWithPanjshir.
Bilal Sarwary, an Afghan journalist, said that there were reports of heavy casualties and fatalities among the Taliban.
“Reports of heavy casualties and fatalities among Taliban soldiers and fighters from armed opposition against Taliban. Reports of heavy fighting in several parts of Panjshir province. Lack of food, weapons and supplies is a major issue for opposition forces,” he said.
Mike Waltz, a US Congressman from Florida who has been actively supporting the Resistance in Panjshir, tweeted that “acting Afghan President Saleh and our friends in the Panjshir Valley have offered sanctuary to any who seek to escape the Taliban. They are also the last line of defense against a Taliban terrorist state and are under assault as we speak. The Biden Admin is abandoning them. “
