Abhay Chautala of INLD wins Ellenabad assembly bypoll

Sirsa, Nov 2 (UNI) Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) candidate Abhay Singh Chautala was declared elected from Ellenabad assembly constituency on Tuesday defeating his nearest BJP-JJP rival Gobind Kanda by 6708 votes and retaining the seat for the party.

Abhay Chautala got 65,897 votes, while his BJP-JJP rival Gobind Kanda secured 59,189 and Congress nominee Pawan Bainiwal was able to get only 20,857 votes, while NOTA got 480 votes.
The victory of Abhay Chautala was duly announced by District Election Officer Anish Yadav.
