New Delhi, May 6: Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur accused the Aam Aadmi Party of misusing police for arresting BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga. Thakur said Punjab police did not follow the due process before arresting Bagga. Talking to media persons, he said Punjab police manhandled the father of Tajinder, which was wrong. Thakur shared a tweet in Hindi, “Aam Aadmi Party is the synonym of anarchy. Punjab did not give the mandate to AAP, so that outsiders come and run the government of Punjab.” Meanwhile, Delhi Police brought back BJP leader Bagga from Haryana on the basis of search warrant. Earlier in the day, a complaint was lodged by Bagga’s father at Janak Puri Police Station following which, police took the action and brought him back from Haryana.
Recently, independent MLA from Gujarat Jignesh Mevani was also arrested by Assam police over the alleged controversial tweet and later he was granted bail from a court in Assam said Congress spokesman(UNI)
