NOIDA Traffic: 60 percent Bundelkhand expressway completed
Lucknow May 29(UNI) Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) has said it has completed over 60 percent of the physical work on the Bundelkhand expressway.
This expressway will be linked to Lucknow- Agra –NOIDA expressway near Etwah district, ultimately linking Bundelkhand with Delhi. The total length of the Bundelkhand expressway is 296 km.
UPEIDA chief executive officer Awanish Awasthi said on Saturday through virtual mode conducted the review of the progress of the expressway.
He said so far 60 percent of the physical work has been completed and the work is being done on war footing. He said the work on the construction of the bridges on river Yamuna, Betwa and Ken is in progress while the work on ROB is being expedited. He also directed for expediting the completion of the remaining work on the toll plaza and remaining earth work and shifting of the utilities like electricity lines, school buildings and others.
On the Bundelkhand expressway, 4 rail over bridge, 14 major bridges, 268 minor bridges, 6 toll plaza, 7 ramp plaza, 18 flyovers and 214 underpasses are being constructed. The Bundelkhand expressway is four lanes expendable to 6 lanes. Along with the expressway 37.5 meter wide service lane is also being constructed.
