“I pray for his long, healthy life in service of people”: PM Modi wishes Amit Shah on birthday
New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday extended birthday wishes to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, praising his role in strengthening the country’s internal security systems and highlighting efforts to eliminate Maoism.
In a post on X, PM Modi highlighted Shah’s administrative understanding, saying, “Warm birthday greetings to Home Minister Shri Amit Shah Ji. His administrative understanding has ensured India’s internal security systems become more effective.” “Particularly noteworthy are the successes in eliminating the menace of Maoism and in furthering our dream of a society free from drugs. I pray that he is blessed with a long and healthy life in service of the people,” PM Modi wrote.
Responding to the Prime Minister’s wishes, Shah expressed gratitude and said Modi’s words strengthened his commitment to serving the nation. “Deeply thankful to Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji for your inspiring wishes. Your kind words of commendation strengthen our commitment to serve the nation on its journey towards new heights of pride, prosperity, and progress. Be it Maoism or the menace of drugs, under your leadership we are resolved to root out anything that threatens our nation’s peace and sovereignty,” Shah said in a post on X.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also extended birthday wishes to Shah, highlighting his efforts to strengthen internal security and promote the cooperation sector.
In a post on X, Singh wrote, “Heartfelt birthday wishes to my colleague in the Union Cabinet, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri @AmitShah Amitji is working with complete dedication and diligence to strengthen India’s internal security and to give new momentum to the cooperation sector. I pray to God for his excellent health, long life, and continued active service to the nation.”
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also conveyed his greetings, commending Shah’s commitment to national security and public welfare. In a post on X, Jaishankar wrote, “Heartfelt birthday wishes to the Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri @AmitShah ji. Your commitment to national security and public welfare is commendable. I pray to God for your good health, a happy life, and long life.”
Earlier in the day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also extended birthday greetings to the Union Minister, highlighting his role in strengthening internal security, advancing the cooperative sector and building a secure India.
In his message on X, Yogi Adityanath wrote, “Heartfelt birthday greetings to the skilled strategist and organisation builder, the honourable Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah ji.”Praising Shah’s contributions, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said, “Your unparalleled contribution in making internal security impregnable, giving a new direction to the cooperation sector, and building a strong and secure India is invaluable.”
The BJP also extended birthday wishes to Shah through its official account on X. “Heartfelt birthday wishes to Shri Amit Shah, the illustrious Union Home and Cooperation Minister of India,” the party wrote.
The greetings reflected appreciation of Shah’s organisational leadership and his role in the Union government, while wishing him good health and a long life.
