Indian Dispora in Germany celebrates 80th Anniversay of India’s Independence!

Frankfurt (Germany): On the occasion of India enerting 80th Year of Independence, th
e Indian community gathered in thousands, in the German financial capital, Franfurt on August 15 at Salbau Titus-Forum, There were hues of colourful costumes, ethnic Punjabi, Bengali, Gujarati, Odiya and many more depicting varied South Indian hues and shades. Kids bristling with josh and camaraderie! Mini-India was on display at their annual carinval.
The sentiment reverberating at the venue was : “Proud of our Indian roots, shaped by Germany, and committed to building a shared future.”
The Indian Verein, the community magazine published articles on the occasion, well illustrated and narrative about the Indian diaspora’s activties over the past year 2025-26. Among the various articles, two articles w
ritten by senior community leader Kamal Vatsain and his his young daughter Kanishka, presented an elaborative emotional account of their journey through two decades of living in Germany (Frankfurt) and Europe. Kamal is also an executive at the Europa Union for a couple of years and interacts with the adminstration on diaspora’s and local community causes.
