Prez Putin must plan an early end to his Ukraine-EU expedition!

As the Trimurti  of top 3  leaders of Asia  gather at the  two-day SCO Summit in  Kyrgyz capital Bishkek  on Monday,  the  issue of utmost importance for discussion would be: how long can  Russian  President  Vladimir Putin   take to finish his NATO-Ukraine  expedition ?

SCO Summit at Bishkek: Although the  10 member Shanghai Cooperation Organisation   meeting  in Kyrgyzstan  has  a declared agenda on Security, Trade, Energy and  Connectivity; the  most important  point for discussion would be regional  co-opoeration among the member nations,  in the  context of  continued  global conflicts  over the last 19 months;  since US President Donald Trump’s  term-II  reinstalation  in January 2025 and  his  tirade on Energy Tariffs, Iran-Israel-America  war, seizure of  Venezuelan   president by the US Air Force, apart from the Four and half-year long Russia-Ukraine  conflict.

The hidden  truth  about the Global  War Situation is that  all the Warring Nations in these  above conficts (viz., Russia-Ukraine, Iran, Israel, the United States, the Gulf States), are in a shambles:  their economies  are on the verge of collapse, military  ammunitions  at the lowest levels  in  their  depots,  Combat  aircrafts scurring for escape routes  against their  miniature tribes; the Drones and  missiles,  which have overtaken the   skyline and striking  their targets  more lethally than the wily fighter jets!

Time for Prez Putin to Strike Hard and Finish  the  four-and a half year long War with  Ukraine (nay NATO).  In fact, Russian President is justified in  dis-allowing Ukraine to join NATO and bring  the pro-America  conglomerate  on its borders. No nation worth  its  salt would  tolerate  a nation that brought in USSR breakdown in 1991, at its borders.  But taking the War to near five year  length is  fraught with  more  risks than  waiting for any miracle to happen. Russia is at a huge advantage on the ground as it has already captured  more than  25% of Ukraine’s territories.

Rudderless NATO,  is  fiddling with a  sure shot formula to let  Ukraine in  or to find a replacement for  its  leader, the United States, and   keep itself  afloat.  There are plenty of differences  among the NATO members over its Ukraine  policy,  whether to admit  and face the Russian  fire.  British  and German  offer of helping Ukraine can’t be more than a mere lip-service;  as  none of the two  nations  can send their own  Air Force pilots  to  attack Russia,  and face public ire over fighting others’ battle,  risking own men’s lives.  Ukraine is left with no  ammunition  for  fire nor trained men to  press the trigger.

The war is currently escalating militarily even as diplomacy is also being explored. Russia is trying to maintain pressure on the Donbas front and Ukraine’s infrastructure, while Ukraine is increasingly using borrowed  long-range drones to attack Russian territory and energy infrastructure.

The interesting question now is whether September produces genuine negotiations or simply allow  another round of fighting before negotiations. The likely  Trump–Putin–Zelensky meeting  could be a major turning point if Moscow actually agrees to it. Russia is  dominating in almost all the warfronts viz.,  Donetsk, Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, Kharkiv, Kursk and Crimea.  On the ground level;  Mariupol and the siege of Azovstal by Russia; Ukraine liberated Kharkiv-region territory and recapture of Kherson city; Russia’s annexation and  claims over four Ukrainian regions; the destruction of the Kakhovka Dam in 2023 and the  long battle for Bakhmut.

Ukraine says talks involving Russian and Ukrainian negotiators could resume in September,  potentially with U.S. participation. More significantly, according to some media reports, CIA Director John Ratcliffe recently proposed a Trump–Putin–Zelensky trilateral summit during his secret Moscow visit. The proposal is aimed at restarting negotiations.  However, the Kremlin currently says negotiations are on hold because there are no new ideas, so a summit is far from guaranteed.

While the War on  Ukraine front is  likely to escalate into Europe with new British PM indicating  to join the Ukrainia forces on border with Russia.  Prez Putin won’t let that happen and  may strike British soft targets in the Seas or  elsewhere. This might bring in  more confusion among the NATO members; Who Stands with Whom Dilemma?

The West Asia War  is in the state of influx; until the mid-term elections  in the United States, in November, when half of the Senate members will be elected. With President Trump’s  rating falling down to near  33%, he can’t afford to  rush into any misadventure with  Iran,  whereas  Gulf nation allies  are also in  a confusion, whether to  play second fiddle to  America’s interests and face Iranian fire or  wind up American bases from their soil and face huge business losses !

With SCO Summit  beginning  on Monday in  Bishkek and BRICs Summit due in New Delhi  in less than two weeks: all eyes are on   September skyline, and  likely to  be very crucial period for the World Peace and much awaited Global Financial  Relief!                                                                                                            …….more later -Editor
