Russia Warns U.S. Against Attack on Iran
Nuclear disaster feared as Israel-Iran war escalates; Russia urges restraint
Russia : As the Israel-Iran war entered its sixth day on June 18, global powers have started raising concerns over the rapidly deteriorating situation in the Middle East. Russia has issued a stern warning to the United States, cautioning it not to launch any military action against Iran. The Russian statement emphasized that an American strike on Iranian territory could trigger a nuclear catastrophe with far-reaching consequences for global peace and security. The tension between Israel and Iran has intensified following a series of missile attacks exchanged between the two countries. In the early hours of June 18, Iran fired two missiles toward Israel, with loud explosions heard over the skies of Tel Aviv. In response, the Israeli Air Force is reportedly preparing for another round of attacks, especially targeting Iranian military bases in southwestern Tehran. Israel has already issued warnings to residents in that area, urging them to evacuate immediately. The Israeli government, under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has vowed to escalate military operations, claiming that the Israeli Defense Forces will intensify their strikes until Iran is completely neutralized. On the other side, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has also responded strongly, calling the Israeli government a terrorist Zionist regime and vowing that Iran will retaliate without mercy. The situation took a serious turn when U.S. President Donald Trump called on Iran to surrender unconditionally to prevent further escalation. Trump claimed his statement was aimed at preserving peace in the region, but it has been interpreted by many as a direct provocation. The conflict initially began on June 13 when Israel launched “Operation Rising Lion,” targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities. Iran retaliated with missiles and drone strikes, igniting fears of a full-scale regional war. As of now, global peace remains fragile with tensions spilling beyond the borders of the two nations. Russia’s latest warning underscores the possibility of nuclear risks and reflects growing international anxiety about the trajectory of this war. Many believe that a broader coalition or diplomatic intervention is urgently needed to prevent the crisis from spiraling into an irreversible catastrophe. With both sides refusing to back down, and world powers divided in their stance, the Middle East stands on the edge of a dangerous and uncertain future.
