BJP should battle Rajasthan polls on PM’s face, not state leaders

The Prime Minister will be the face of the BJP’s campaign in Rajasthan, as the party is not likely to count on state leaders. According to certain sources, the BJP is reportedly working to cultivate a candidate for the position of Union Minister for Rajasthan based on the candidate’s “neutral and higher performance track record in his ministry.”

NEW DELHI: The BJP plans to contest the election without presenting a chief ministerial face in its effort to unseat the Congress in Rajasthan, according to party sources. The party may use teamwork to retake control, with all candidates for the CM’s position cooperating to seize control in a mission mode.

Friday’s assembly elections in Rajasthan would be fought and won using Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is largely regarded as the party’s political mascot. A senior party official told the reporters in an informal conversation that “we will decide after winning the election as to who will helm the government in the state that is reeling under acute lawlessness.”

JP Nadda, the leader of the party, is due to travel to Rajasthan on Saturday to start the election machinery. Nadda will speak with the party’s core group and offer advice on how to depose Congress by leveraging the USP of PM Modi’s nine-year record of accomplishments.

“We don’t approach any election lightly. We work hard, and that’s why we succeed. Depending on the state’s electoral climate, the tactic differs. A senior leader of the party stated that MP and Rajasthan are the first states the party will win. “The BJP keeps updating its electoral manoeuvring taking lessons from every election it goes through across the country,” the leader added.

He claimed that the BJP is better equipped and in a stronger position to take on the incumbent Congress and a confident BJP in Rajasthan. When asked who will represent the party as chief minister, Vasundhara Raje or Gajendra Shekhawat responded, “We have to win first and then decide who will lead the state to development.”

A Union minister for Rajasthan is being groomed by the party, according to certain sources, on the basis of his “neutral and higher performance track record in his ministry.” The BJP may parachute new members of the Union cabinet after winning the elections. The most likely face is leading one of the important miniseries and has a track record of providing quality performances, which is the hint. He is from Rajasthan, according to a party source.
