Rajnish Kumar and Mohandas Pai have joined Byju’s advisory council.

BENGALURU: Byju’s announced Thursday that former SBI Chairman Rajnish Kumar and former CFO of Infosys TV Mohandas Pai will join the company’s newly formed Advisory Council.The council will play a crucial role in advising and mentoring Byju’s Board of Directors and its CEO, Byju Raveendran, on matters that will determine the company’s future.

Byju stated in a statement that the appointment of these two leaders in finance and governance to Advisory Council demonstrates the company’s dedication to enhancing its financial governance mechanisms and leveraging expert advice to promote sustainable growth and strategic decision-making.

Arjun Mohan, the former CEO of upGrad, has been hired as the CEO of the company’s international division. Mohan quit upGrad in December of the previous year. He previously served as the chief business officer for Byju’s. These appointments coincide with the departure of three prominent board members from the company.

Byju’s co-founders, Divya Gokulnath and Byju Raveendran, stated, “Their (Kumar and Pai) unparalleled leadership experience and deep understanding of the finance and technology domains will enrich our strategic initiatives and strengthen our governance.” Kumar stated that the company has accomplished a remarkable growth trajectory and built a substantial revenue, operations, and global presence.
