Veteran Cdr. Veerendra Jaitly’s much awaited book ‘100 Great IITians: Dedicated…. is launched

New Delhi: Well known motivational speaker, mentor, corporate trainer and veteran Navy  Commander VK Jaitly’s compendium of  ‘100 Great IITians: Dedicated to the  Service of the Nation’  has been soft-launched  in the Management & Careers sections for  online sales. The book talks about journey and contribution of those IITians who devoted lives for their motherland, India in a big way and didn’t get lured by the glamour of the western world. This book will play its role of inspiring the youth of India who are on the path of making India विकसित भारत and विश्वगुरू by 2047, assures Cdr. Jaitly, who has written several books and presentations  on management and motivational ideas.

His books ‘We Can! We Can!’ and ‘Safalta ki Udaan’ and his YouTube channel ‘ExcellenceGuru’ have changed the lives of many. The book ‘We Can, We Can’ was a best seller and had several reprints.

Third  book in the series, is on ‘100 Great IITians:Dedicated…….Nation’, has the stories of  great IITians like  Narayan Murthy of Infosys, Dr. K Radhakrishnan, former ISRO chairman,  Nandan Nilekani, Anand Deshpande, Prof Kiran Seth, Late  Yogi Deveshwar, Late Manohar Parrikar and even Late Lt VK Jain,  the martyr from any IIT who laid down his life in 1971 war with Pakistan. The book also has stories of some unsung heroes who have contributed to the growth of our country in an exemplary manner but were hidden from the eyes of the common Indian, have also been covered.
The book has the capability to infuse fresh blood in the veins of 20 lakh plus youth who work hard to get into one of the 23 IITs every year and many more youths of India, to follow the path of their own StartUps to make a real Viksit Bharat by 2047. The book is a must read for students seeking admission into IITs, IIMs and those persueing management careers.

Commander (Retd.) VK Jaitly, an alumnus of IIT Khatagpur (1974-79),  was the commissioning crew of INS Viraat and contributed immensely in computerisation in the India Navy. He was Weapon Maintenance Officer and the Officer-in-Charge on INS Viraat for the most sophisticated Computer Aided Action Information System. He also developed the First Multi Media of India at INS Valsura, Jamnagar way back in 1991. Mr. Jaitly, an aluminus of IIT Kharagpur, has been Founder Board Member of PanIIT, India. He was the Chairman Logistics, Operations and Entertainment Committee of PanIIT2004 & PanIIT2010. He was the President of Technology Alumni Foundation (India) and started new alumni chapters in India and abroad. He was awarded Distinguished Services Award in 2016 and was again honoured with Distinguished Alumni Award in 2021.

Jaitly has a number of articles to his credit and has delivered lectures/presentations at National and International forums. He has delivered lectures in more than 250 academic institutions that include some IITs, IIMs, IISc and three universities in China. As a corporate trainer for about 100 companies, his focus has been on human engineering, and he believes in achieving Business Excellence thru People.
