Mohali Press veterans celebrate Lohri, in Gala Socio-Religious Tradition

Mohali: Press fraternity of Mohali and Chandigarh,  under the banner of its  Club organised a fervent and  scintillating religious-cum-cultural event Lohari  in the second week of last month.  The event was organised in the Chashme Shahi Resort Mohali and was attended by many political guests like local MLA Kulwant Singh, and Punjab Minister of State for Agriculture and Animal Husbandry. Sardar Gurmeet Singh Khudian, Chief Guest Smt. Ashika Jain DC Mohali, Dr. Sandeep Singh Garg. SSP Mohali and other senior officials.

General Secretary Sukhdev Singh Patwari told the audience that Dhiyan Di Lohri is being celebrated by the Mohali Press Club for last 18 years without break. Those daughters of Members, who scored more than 90 % marks in the last Matric and Sr. Secondary Exams were honoured and given  gifts, prizes etc.  Yong toddler  daughters born in 2023 were also given gifts suitable for kids and their families.  Mr. Kulwant Singh MLA and chief Guest addressed the gathering apart from  President and Gen. Secretary.

Senior Members Manjit Singh Chana VP, Secy. Sukhdev Singh Patwari and other members attended the event with most of the members of the Club and their families. The gathering saw over 250 guests  enjoying musical performances by local TV and Doordarshan artists Romi Ranjan, Ekam Chanoul;i, Vickey Palwal, Sukhppreet and others.
