BJP MLAs reached the assembly carrying cow dung in baskets
reminded Sukhu government of this guarantee
Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur said that Congress is reminding the government of its promises. Had promised to buy cow dung as soon as the government was formed. It has been a year now and even the cow dung has dried up.
Shimla: Opposition party BJP is continuously attacking the guarantees given by Congress during the assembly elections. On the second day of the winter session, BJP MLAs reached the Vidhan Sabha carrying cow dung in baskets and demonstrated and reminded the Congress government of the guarantees. Along with this, BJP also demanded the government to immediately buy cow dung at Rs 2 per kg. BJP also raised slogans against the Sukhu government.
Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur said that Congress gave false guarantees to the people of the state during the assembly elections. One year has passed and yet Congress has not fulfilled any guarantee. Now the guarantee is in their hands. He said that neither the public nor the Congress leaders will be allowed to forget these guarantees. BJP will keep reminding of these guarantees from time to time.
Had demonstrated on the first day of the session also
Jairam Thakur said that on the first day of the session also there was a protest regarding guarantees. The second guarantee of Congress was to buy cow dung at Rs 2 per kg. It has been a year but cow dung has not been purchased from the farmers. Now that Lok Sabha elections are approaching, the Congress government is talking about purchasing cow dung.
