Today, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that the state would establish eight cutting-edge training facilities to provide instruction for tests given by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The action was taken in an effort to increase the state’s representation in important services including the IAS, IPS, IRS, and others.

The CM voiced concern about the dwindling participation of state youth in central services, particularly in the tests held by the UPSC, while presiding over a high-level meeting.

Despite having tremendous talent, young people from the state were unable to succeed in these tests, first because they preferred to travel overseas, and then because there was a dearth of high-quality coaching there. Eight coaching centres would be opened throughout the state, according to the chief minister, who stated that the state government was determined to reverse the trend.

The CM claimed that these facilities would give young people top-notch instruction at no cost in order to pass the UPSC exams and serve the nation by securing coveted posts in both state and central government services. The state has a proud history of generating outstanding bureaucrats who have greatly aided the socioeconomic growth of the nation by providing services in a variety of roles. This rich tradition must continue into the future, he stressed.

According to the state’s chief minister, the establishment of these centres has only one purpose: to place young Punjabis in positions of leadership and service to the nation. He said that all interested students from all social groups will receive the instruction without charge.

Mann requested that the relevant offices adjust the criteria for entry to such coaching facilities and hire qualified, qualified, and professional employees accordingly.
