GVL Narasimha Rao accuses TDP, YSR Govts of shelving Sagar Mala Petro-Chem project
Kakinada: BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao has alleged that both the previous TDP and the present YSRCP Governments have done great injustice to Kakinada city and despite the central government coming forward to sanction Rs 32,000 crore Petro chemical corridor project, both of them had shelved the project resulting its non-starter even after years.
He told media persons here on Monday that even though Rs.2,500 Crore were sanctioned for Kakinada city under smart city project, nothing was done towards development but the funds were misused. `
Highest educational institutions were sanctioned for Kakinada but the state government failed to provide the land required for them and the allotted funds were being misused.
Even the Sagara Mala project also could not make much headway due to the failure of the state government to provide its share of matching grant he added.
Narasimha Rao further said that they would be approaching the people exposing the failures and hollowness of the state government and requesting them to give a chance to the BJP, Janasena combine to come to power in the state for providing good governance.
As a part of this program, he said, as many as five thousand public meetings would be arranged across the state. (UNI)
